Terms of Agreement (Employers)

  1. Jobs posted via the Conference Job Center are NOT included in the price of a HigherEdJobs.com subscription (a different site owned by Internet Employment Linkage, Inc. which shares its resources). HigherEdJobs.com subscribed institutions and any of their agents or employees who use this form to post a position agree to pay the additional fees generated by this posting. These posting pages require Conference Job Center to process the request through a different posting and security system that is significantly more labor intensive as compared to the Subscription's Employer Section.
  2. By posting a position on this site, job poster warrants that the posting is in complete legal compliance. The job poster will assume all responsibility for the content of the posting. THERE IS NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS, OR OTHER DAMAGES.
  3. The Internet is NOT a completely secure format and requires the attention of all parties involved to keep the materials correct. Conference Job Center will exercise due care in protecting the security of this website. However, mistaken job postings may occur and the job poster is required to review the insertion of the job posting after receiving the posting confirmation email and call to the attention of Conference Job Center any error. In the event of an error, the sole liability of Conference Job Center will be to "make good." THERE IS NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OR OTHER DAMAGES.
  4. Job poster warrants that it is legally authorized to advertise the job, and that their posting does not infringe on any copyrights, patents or trademarks or contract that the job poster is a party to. Job poster will indemnify Internet Employment Linkage, Inc., publisher of Conference Job Center and HigherEdJobs.com, for any claims made by third parties related to the advertisements. Conference Job Center reserves the right to reject any submitted order without having to state a specific reason. Possible reasons for rejection include, but are not limited to: Accreditation of the institution, content of the posting, applicability to the site’s job seekers, authenticity of the order and past credit history with the company.
  5. The cost of a single posting is in US dollars and the terms vary by conference web site.
  6. When payment is made by voucher (check), the job poster agrees to place (in a conspicuous area) the invoice number or transaction ID on the payment. If the invoice number or transaction ID is not placed on the payment, the job poster acknowledges and agrees that Conference Job Center shall credit the unmarked payment to the earliest outstanding invoice. In the case of a dispute at a later date, employer agrees to adjust their records to reflect the application of the unmarked payment.
  7. 42 USC 2000e-3(b) provides that it shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer or an employment agency to publish an ad for a job opening which lists a gender preference unless that preference or limitation is considered a bona fide occupational qualification for employment. If such a position were posted under this agreement, Conference Job Center would presume that there is a bona fide occupational qualification for this restriction related to the nature of the posted positions. If this were not the case, Conference Job Center would need to be notified in writing upon the posting of the position.
  8. It may lawful or unlawful for an employer or an employment agency to publish an ad for a job opening which lists a religious preference for employment. If such a position were posted under this agreement, HigherEdJobs.com would presume that it is lawful for this restriction related to the nature of the posted positions. If this were not the case, HigherEdJobs.com would need to be notified in writing upon the posting of the position.
  9. Rejection of Vendor Systems, Purchase Orders, Additional Terms: Conference Job Center allows for the inclusion of a purchase or insertion order ("PO/IO") number as an invoicing convenience for its customers. Conference Job Center does not accept, review, or retain any PO/IO forwarded by any customer except to confirm the PO/IO number (for the customer's tracking purposes). Conference Job Center considers any PO/IO the customer's internal tracking document and not a contract to do business. Conference Job Center does not and will not participate in any vendor procurement system offered by any private or public entity. Any PO/IO or other documents which add, edit, or delete any term related to the purchase of this product are specifically rejected unless the document has an original signature of an officer of Internet Employment Linkage, Inc., publisher of Conference Job Center and HigherEdJobs.com, which acknowledges agreement to the terms. BY CLICKING SUBMIT AND PLACING THIS ORDER OR BY RECEIVING A CONFIRMATION EMAIL WITH THIS TERM, CUSTOMER AGREES THAT HE OR SHE HAS READ AND AGREES TO THIS TERM AND WILL FORWARD IT TO ALL CONCERNED PARTIES IN HIS OR HER INSTITUTION AND/OR GOVERNMENTAL BODY.
  10. Collection Costs: Job poster agrees to reimburse the reasonable collections costs (including the costs of a professional collection agency) incurred by Conference Job Center for invoices that are unpaid after 120 days of the invoice date. All costs are in addition to the unpaid amount of the invoice.
  11. Any user account (employer account, subscriber account, MyHigherEdJobs account) information is intended for the use of one specified user. Each specified user is responsible for his/her information and may not, under any circumstance, share it with another party. If there is a need to add another user, please contact us as there may or may not be additional documentation and charges.
  12. If any part of these terms and conditions is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions hereof.

Thank you for posting with Conference Job Center!
